Is Judaism a religion?
What must Jews believe?
What happens after we die?
How was the world made?
How can one become a prophet?
What makes for a good person?
How can we know God?
Do souls exist?

These questions, and many more, are explored in this book – shining a new light on Jewish thought.

Through a dozen short and accessible chapters, Rabbi Adam Zagoria-Moffet explores the basics of Jewish theology. From reincarnation to prophecy, and from creation to human obligation – this is a Jewish theology drawn from the concepts and methods of Kabbalah but stated in clear language and without technical terminology. For anyone who has ever wondered about their Jewish education: is there more than this? Here are some of the best questions we can ask and attempts at beginning to answer them.

Adam Zagoria-Moffet is the rabbi of St Albans Masorti Synagogue (SAMS) and the Director of Strategy for Masorti Judaism in the UK. He received semikhah and a MA in Jewish thought from JTS in 2017 and since has endeavoured to make the teaching and learning of Jewish mysticism accessible to anyone who seeks to learn. He has frequently taught online, including in the popular podcast
Jewniversity and via Instagram at @kabbalunch.
